UNIFRANZ UPDATE 2.0

The Franz Tamayo University, in its campus in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the most thriving city in the country, requires a major upgrade to improve its deteriorated and outdated image, in order to become a reference in the city. Not only as an educational facility, but also in terms of image, architecture, and institutional image. Although the commission comes from the property, with a clear desire to attack certain “individual items” (*roof, facade and patio), from Cotacero we bet on a radical change based on the study and analysis of the entire campus, and not so, of certain particularities.

Work is being done in the project phase on the reordering of pedestrian/user entrances (act. through the courtyard between blqoues) as well as the areas destined for exterior vehicular parking (act. on the square and disordered). In the same way, the new image of the building is defined, in its 4 faces plus roof, as well as the new coatings to be implemented in the building. Externally, the plaza area and the new entrance to the university through the porch parallel to the 2nd Ring, configure a new way of use and entrance, both for the public and private space.

In addition to the drafting of the project, our team of installers INSTALL (by Cotacero) in Santa Cruz-Bolivia, carried out the installation of the new or renovated coatings; 01. the roof using Hunter&Douglas metal cladding; 02. ventilated ceramic facades by Porcelanosa, 03. expanded mesh on railings of the interior patio and 04. renovation and repainting of Hunter&Douglas louvers.
